We stayed at the farmhouse in July for a week with our 3 German Shepherds. It is extremely dog friendly and very spacious. The land surrounding the farmhouse is nature at it's best. We were fortunate to see the House Martins living in the adjacent barn what a treat. The dogs loved the long walks exploring somewhere different everyday, to then come back and have a long soak in bath with a glass of wine looking over the hills. The farmhouse is very cosy, and although it could do with a bit of tlc here and there it was perfect for us everything we had imagined. The whole experience was just what we needed. We will be back next year!

Just returned from a wonderful week away spent at the Farmhouse with my family. Myself and my sister came across this hidden treasure whilst looking for somewhere we could take our mum for her 60th Birthday along with our four dogs. The Farmhouse and the castle were idyllic with beautiful gardens. The Farmhouse was perfect for cooking meals in and having cosy evenings by the fire watching television whilst the dogs snored away. We went for the all inclusive option and were blown away by the welcome we received at the castle for breakfast and evening meals. It was my Birthday and my mums Birthday whilst we were away and the staff there, being so friendly and chatty caught wind of this and went out of there way to display Birthday banners and confetti on the day of our Birthdays. The staff all appear to love their job and they do an amazing job at welcoming guests. You get a real homely feel when your in the castle, it's beyond dog friendly with your furry friends able to join you at breakfast and are even greeted with fuss and a sausage by the staff. If your a fellow dog lover and enjoy beautiful walks, tranquility and history then Craig Y Nos castle and farmhouse is perfect.
Please extend a special thank you to Vicky and Cath for being so friendly and going out of your way to make mine and my mums Birthdays special.
I hope to visit again one day.
“Amazing, loved it, perfect for outdoor families and dogs. Fabulous old cottage and woodburner made it complete!”
5 of 5 stars. I was looking for a dog friendly cottage, away from it all, but still with some home comforts and this more than fitted the bill. We were 2 families, the double beds didn't suit our set up but there was so much floor space we took air beds and the boys slept where they felt comfortable. The annexe kitchen was perfect for keeping damp dogs away from the main living area until they were dry. The wood burner was fantastic and the heating was on when we got there for which we were very grateful. Plentiful very hot water. It's an old cottage with the creaks and quirks you would expect. The farmyard setting was fantastic, the dogs wandered around and did their own thing but stayed pretty close to the house. There is a small walled area but our collie could easily hop out so bear that in mind if you have an escape artist but for us it was perfect. Our children played out a lot, there is an old tyre swing. The cottage is well equipped, just don't expect all modern fixtures and fittings or wifi, that's not what its about and for us the olde worlde charm made it all the more fun. We will definitely be back, Thankyou.
